For the first time in the history of the United Nations, the United Nations has decided to start an investigation on the government of United States for her present and past treatment of the indigenous people of United States: the Native Americans. Approximately more than 2 million indigenous Americans live in Reservations and it has been reported that these areas are severely underdeveloped. The indigenous Americans living there mostly suffer from unemployment, alcoholism, depression and they also suffer from suicidal tendencies. These social issues have always been a cause of concern and finally, the matter has been brought to light.
Apart from the current problems faced by the indigenous Americans, the natives have to face other controversial matters with the government For instance, land and territorial disputes.
